| This is what the inside of our plane looked like. Right now it is 6:25pm in Seoul. (It is 5:25 am in the US!) I will say that the 14 hour and 45 minute plane ride was pretty brutal. None of us slept much, and we really couldn't get comfortable! We all watched about 3 or 4 movies to help the time pass. Christine, Laura and I sat on the far right side of the plane and Craig sat right across the aisle. It was a smooth flight and the flight attendants were beautiful! I can't imagine how we are going to entertain Ava on this plane flight in a couple weeks on our way home! Right now we are sitting at the airport in Seoul, waiting to take off in about 1 hour. We only have a 2 hour flight to Beijing, so it will be a piece of cake! When we get to Beijing, it will be 8:00pm on Wed. 10/17. ( 8am 10/17 for you all) We should be able to go right to sleep once we get to our hotel. We have a nice full day of touring scheduled for tomorrow! One other real cool thing is that I met another couple (through a friend) who lives only about 10 minutes from us and they are also adopting a child from China! Turns out we use the same adoption agency, and they are going to China now, and we are on the same flights coming, and going, and even staying at the same hotels! It's really amazing how God works! It's been wonderful having some company to navigate through the airports with, and to just share in each other's excitement while we are here! Lastly, Ava only has 4 more nights to sleep in her orphanage, then we will be able to take care of her, and we will be a FAMILY OF FIVE!!!!! |
Finally on the same side of the world as your baby girl! Hope you all got some good sleep. Enjoy these first few days together enjoying China!!
