Day 10 Consulate Appt/ Shopping with Ann

Today was our consulate appointment!

Andrew was so sweet around the other children today. There were several families and lots of children playing and I wasn't quite sure how Andrew would interact with other kids. But he was very kind. He would play, but sometimes he would just come back to his stroller and sit and watch. He kept me in his sight at all times. 

After our consulate appointment we went to lunch and Andrew decided he wanted to sit with his sisters!!

Today we went shopping with Ann!! We went three years ago with her when we adopted Ava and we wanted to get Andrew some keepsakes so we wanted to go this time too. Ann is a small little lady, but boy can she walk FAST!! We had to run to keep up with her! Not quite as bad as three years ago, but she was still fast. I wanted to get a silk outfit for Andrew for each year for him to wear to our Chinese New Year's parties, and I wanted to get a strand of pearls for him to give to his wife one day. Ann has friends who give us wholesale prices, so it's worth it to go shopping with her!! We had fun and both he and Ava were very good little shoppers!!

Andrew saw someone eating an apple, and it was obvious that he really wanted one. So we bought him an apple!! He loved it!

Ava loved hers too, but with so many teeth missing, I had to bite little bites off for her to eat!!

It took forever for us to find a taxi to bring us back to the hotel. We stood out in the rain for about 20 minutes, but a nice guy finally said he would take us back to our hotel. (for an extra fee of course---nothing like having to bribe the taxi driver!) We ate supper at our favorite restaurant in GZ, and called it a day!!!

Andrew absolutely loves his baths!! This was our best day yet. He had some tough moments, but no tantrums, and really just an all around good day!!!
