We had family meet us at the airport and stay a couple days to spend time with us and Ava.
Week 1
The following weekend Christine's soccer team (whom Craig coaches) had a soccer tournament in Griffin, GA, which was about an hour away from home. They played 2 games on Sat., (they won both!) and 1 game on Sun which they tied, so they were able to play in the Championship game Sunday afternoon. They did lose that game, but they sure did give it their all!
Ava was a little trooper the entire weekend! She played with her bear, and just cheered along with the rest of us!
After the game she ran to see Christine!!
Great job Dacula Strykers!!
Christine and Coach Daddy!!
Week 2
The weekend of Nov 17/18, we traveled to Monroe, NC to go to the Annual USO show that Benton's Crossroads Baptist Church puts on. Laura performed this year with her cousins Elizabeth and Rebekah. They were the Judd's! And they were fantastic!!!
Here's Poppa as Johnny Cash!
And JaneEllen as Patsy Kline. "Walkin' After Midnight"
And Nannie, as one of the McGuire Sisters! "Sincerely"
The Judd's "Rockin to the Rhythm of the Rain"
We went to church Sunday morning at our home church, Benton's Crossroads. This was Ava's first time to go to church, so it was special that she went to the same church as her daddy grew up in, and same church that both Laura and Christine grew up in and were baptized! Even though we don't live there anymore, and are 4 hours away, it will always be our home church!

Week 3
After such a busy several weeks, we really needed to stay at home and have some family time. We needed to work in our yard and just relax! Ava has been sleeping most mornings until 9:30 or so! We played in the yard, raked leaves and spent time with our neighbors!
This is Hannah, one of the sweet Roy children who live next door to us! Ava loves to play with her friends!
Then we tried to take Christmas pictures for Christmas cards!!!
Sometimes Ava does NOT want to have her picture taken! Haha
I think Laura and Christine were worn out after this photo shoot! But, believe it or not, we got an ADORABLE picture for our card, I just won't share it quite yet though!!!
On Wednesday evening, we decided to go out to eat. We went to a cafeteria style restaurant and ate traditional Thanksgiving type food. Since it was just going to be us this year, and no one (except me) really likes stuffing and sweet potatoes, etc., we decided to grill out today. So we chose our favorite foods and had steaks, twice backed potatoes, salad, pecan pie, and chocolate chip cookies!
We also put up our Christmas lights outside, and our Christmas tree inside. We have had a great day!
I am so thankful for many things. Thankful for our new addition, thankful for my salvation, thankful for our family and friends, thankful to live in America, and thankful for the year ahead and all that lies ahead. I do not know what the future holds, but I know that I will continue to seek His will every day!
