Reece's Rainbow

I am so excited to say the we have a Family Sponsorship Program for Andrew on Reece's Rainbow. Here's a link to read more about Reece's Rainbow if you are interested.  As you know, like many adoptive families we felt called to adopt, but we knew that we would have to trust God to provide the money for us. We were able to come up with enough money (about $10,000) to pay for our agency fees. In order to be fully funded we needed to raise an additional $20,000. We have raised approximately $4000.00. This money has come from doing fundraisers and from donations. We are planning on having a garage sale in June and to sell some of our personal items in order to raise more money. We totally believe that God has a plan, and that His plan will come at just the right time! We have heard the saying that God doesn't always call the equipped, but He will always equip the called!

There are several reasons we are so excited to be able to have a FSP (Family Sponsorship Program) with Reece's Rainbow. One reason is that all donations are tax deductible. This can be a way for businesses to make a charitable donation, or for anyone to be able to get a receipt for your taxes! So we have deleted our YouCaring site. The donations are actually anonymous, so please send us a note if you would like for us to know that you have supported us! There is a 3% fee that is deducted from us if you donate through paypal, but if you write a check (details below), then we receive 100%. Reece's Rainbow keeps all of this money and then gives it to us right before we travel. It's such a wonderful organization and I just actually learned that the Founder of RR used to live in Dacula, GA!!! It's such a small world.  Another reason we are so excited about this FSP is because donations are not limited to just our friends and family. RR has many people from all over the world who make donations to different families everyday!! So, who knows who may be touched by our story and want to support us.
