4/28 -Just a really good day!!!

This week started out, not so good. On Sunday night, Craig was outside and he decided to go play with our neighbors in the culdesac. He was pretending to hit a baseball--when the ball was pitched, it was going to hit Craig's body, so he just put his left arm up to block it and as he stepped back his feet got twisted underneath him and he fell on his right arm and his back. He knew immediately that something was wrong with his arm. So around 8pm on Sunday night he and I headed to the ER. After X-rays it was determined that he broke the humorous bone on the outside of his arm, right above his funny bone. They put him in a splint and told him to follow up with an orthopedic doctor.

Well, Craig went to the orthopedic doctor today and he does not have to have a cast. He has to wear this crazy brace contraption that makes him look like Iron Man, but NO CAST!! So that was really good news!! So hopefully Craig's arm will heal fast!!

Ava and I had a field trip this morning to the Strawberry Patch!! Ava thought it was fun to wear the same shirt!

This is Ava and her best little friends Julianna and Mariah!! They love each other!!

Ava loved the baby chicks and the baby bunnies!!

She was a little nervous about petting the horse, but she did!!

Ava picked yummy strawberries!! This is Ms. Shannon, Ava's teacher! She loves her :)

When we got home from our field trip I went to get the mail and had the greatest surprise today!!! Our I-797 approval!!! This is our fingerprint approval from Homeland Security. So now we can send this off to be authenticated by the Chinese Consulate, then it will go back to our adoption agency and that will be the last document needed for our dossier!! So hopefully we will be DTC (Dossier To China) in the next week or so!! September travel may be possible after all!!!!

To make our day even better, Christine got her Driver's Permit!!! I can't believe she is old enough to drive!! So, another adventure begins for her (as well as for us!!!) Congratulations sweet Christine!!!
