Saturday the girls decorated gingerbread houses! Ava thought it was great because she got to eat all the candy! Laura and Christine were so meticulous with theirs. They made wreaths out of gumdrops and were so creative.
Saturday evening we went to a surprise birthday party for our friends Bruce and Kelly!
Sunday we went to a "Mother- daughter ornament exchange party" at The Harkness's. This is the party that Laura and I went to last year that triggered our China adoption process!! It's hard to believe that it was just a year ago that we officially decided to adopt! I'm so thankful we did :) I'm thankful for the Harkness's and I'm so thankful for my sweet friend Donna (whom Lucy introduced me to) who "held my hand" the entire way! Never think for one minute that God doesn't guide your paths and place certain people in your life to help you along to follow His will.

Craig was off all week, so we spent a lot of our time finishing up our Christmas shopping. Ava was a trooper! She loves to go bye-bye and is a pretty good shopper. She does good until about 1:30 or 2:00, then it's just time for a nap. Ava is not good at falling asleep in her stroller or her carseat, or really even if we rock her. She likes to be in her bed. She loves to be cuddled and rocked, but very rarely will she fall asleep in my arms. She likes her bed! She's such a little sweetie!
Christine and Laura get out of school on Wed and don't go back until January 3rd! We are looking forward to this Christmas!!
